Regarding sommaire

Hope Iam in the right section..

Ive installed and got sommaire_parametrable_v211 upp and running pretty well as I can see.

I read over at ravenphpscripts.com that the v211 was buggy and it would be better off using sommaire3b1.

Is 3b1 and upgrade or for fresh install ?

Ive dl 3b1.. if I just transferring over all the files (over writing when necessary) in the html folder and then executing the installs3b1.php will it preform an upgrade to 3b1 or do I have to delete all v211 files plus drop nuke_sommaire_categories.sql and nuke_sommaire.sql first.

BTW Iam on RavenNuke_v2.20.00

Does it not say anything in the instructions?
It has been a very long time since I used this particular script so I cannot really advise you more.
If you have a file comparison tool like WinMerge or Beyond Compare you might be able to see any differences.

Actually, not sure where the 2.1.1 being "buggy" is coming from, but do remember that 3b1 is a "beta" version, but it really is 2.1.2. I am using the beta version here on the site.

I believe you just need to copy over the files and then re-run the installation script and it will take care of updating your tables and language file(s). Sommaire has always had a good upgrade path IMO. I have never had an issue with it (the upgrade).

My apologies ...

I just scrolled further down in the txt file and saw the following, so a transferr over writing the files and exec the install php will do the job.

Regarding my wondering about it being buggy(211).. well I read to fast and wrote wrong in my thread here. The person was saying that

No problem I do that all the time, sometimes I type too fast as well and my fingers get ahead of my brain which sometimes has some amusing typo's as a result Smile

I must say that sommaire_parametrable_v3.0b1 is very stable and a nice piece of work..

Yeah, it is too bad that the author dropped it about 2 - 3 years back. It was very good work he did.
